We have some very exciting news to share with our Cloud Sites customers. As you may have seen from last summer’s press release, Liquid Web acquired the Cloud Sites platform and business operations from Rackspace. I wanted to officially welcome you to the Liquid Web family and explain what this means to you.

About Liquid Web

Liquid Web is a $100 million hosting company totally devoted to web and cloud professionals like you. For over 17 years, we have been a global leader in Managed Hosting and we boast an industry-leading customer satisfaction rating. In fact, our customers rate us nearly 30 points higher than Rackspace as measured by Net Promoter Score®. We are known for our innovative product portfolio, and our exceptional US-based customer service and technical support teams. We are proud of having 500 experienced administrators, engineers, and technicians (including the full Cloud Sites team of professionals) dedicated and empowered to make your life easier – so you can focus on the work you love.

Why This Happened

Rackspace has refocused its strategy on large, complex infrastructure deployments and consultative services. As Rackspace’s strategy shifted, Liquid Web stepped in as an ideal choice to acquire Cloud Sites. Why? Because we are dedicated to partnering with professional website designers, developers and digital agencies – and the businesses they serve.

What This Means To You

We are committed to continuing the same level of expertise and support you have come to expect from Cloud Sites. In fact, we have retained 100% of the Cloud Sites team and we have already been investing in the platform to expand the product features and management capabilities. Here’s what this change means to you.

  • Your Pricing Will Not Change.

Your account will be transitioned to Liquid Web over the next several months with no price changes. Only the system for viewing your invoices will change, not your plan or pricing.

  • Your Website Operations Will Not Be Impacted.

During the account transition process, your website’s availability and operations are our primary concern. You and your customers will not see any website interruptions due to the account transition.

  • You Will Have the Opportunity to Consolidate Your Products.

You can expect not only consistent product uptime and stability, but we will be providing increased feature enhancements and access to the Cloud Sites Platform. We know you likely have additional products and services with Rackspace today, and there will be no interruption to those services. Should you be interested, you can partner with us for all your dedicated and virtual server needs – plus a whole host of value-added products across CDN, Security, and Managed WordPress (just to name a few!)services.

  • You Can Have Peace Of Mind.

A network and power uptime guarantee of 100%, inclusive of sophisticated infrastructure security monitoring and prevention, 24×7 support and monitoring services. IF there’s a problem, we can fix it fast. We don’t sleep and we’re never closed.

  • You Will Have a Dedicated Team Working on Your Transition.

Over the next couple of months, we will be communicating regularly with you on the Liquid Web account activation process. You do not need to take any action at this time. Later this month we will be sharing more on the process with you. Our team is dedicated to making the transition as smooth as possible for you.

  • You Can Look Forward to More Improvement.

We are aggressively working to improve the Cloud Sites product. We will be upgrading our infrastructure and rolling out our new Cloud Sites control panel with added features and access to additional products. For additional questions, we have published a comprehensive FAQ in our Knowledge Base.

The Cloud Sites Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) product significantly augments Liquid Web ’s premium portfolio of Managed Dedicated and Virtual Servers, delivered with our package of hosting essentials and backed with industry-leading performance. This means response time in under a minute, plus 100% uptime guarantees – all with a comprehensive suite of performance, reliability, and security solutions included at no extra charge. You can learn more about Liquid Web at www.liquidweb.com.

With Rackspace’s sale to private equity firm Apollo Global Management, its new focus on Enterprise customers and a shift to consulting versus hosting, we want to be your new partner and provider of hosting services. This move by Rackspace will leave a void in the market for web and cloud dependent professionals like yourself and we’re excited to step in to serve you.

We are proud to have you as a Liquid Web customer and want to be your partner in hosting for years to come.

Here’s to a successful 2017!
