LearnDash Dashboard Overview: Courses, Lessons & Topics

This video gives you a quick introduction to the LearnDash LMS dashboard and how to manage the core building blocks of your online course: Courses, Lessons, and Topics.

Courses

This is where your learning journey begins. The Courses tab is where all of your courses are created and stored. You can:

Click “Add New” to build a course from scratch.
Or, create a course from a video playlist for faster setup.

Lessons

Lessons are the primary content units within your courses. You can:

Add lessons directly in the Lessons tab.
Or, use the Course Builder to insert them directly into your course—making organization and editing simpler.

Topics

Topics help you break lessons into smaller, more digestible sections. You can:

Add topics manually from the Topics tab.
Or, add them within the Course Builder to keep everything in one place.
