More Themes questions as I try to figure out what to do going forward. 1) Do you know anything about Focus by Chris Pearson at DIY Themes? I’ve been asked about it. It looks very different from usual themes. 2) If I did not already ask this, what is a page builder versus a theme? Do you need both? Beaver Builder is a page builder AND a plugin? Why both?

My 5 year “COMODO CA Limited” certificate for my main e-commerce site which has a lot of traffic is about to expire. Should I extend it or should I just create a Let’s Encrypt certificate which is free on my host? What about SEO? Anything else to think about?

Just how bloated is Jetpack these days? Is it worth installing it just for using the android/iphone app for which it is required? Will it slow down my site etc? Are there any alternatives for App use?

When a new version of WooCommerce is released, it always comes with a warning not to update. It lists all the woo related plugins you have with the version up to which they are tested. Stripe is one that is almost always on this list. How much testing on a staging copy do you do? Have you used a visual comparison tool https://www.wpboom.com or the end-to-end testing tool https://robotninja.com?

Back to themes. Is there a reason you don’t use the iThemes page builder? Or does it not exist anymore?

I have a client who I took over maintenance for earlier this year. They hired someone else to redesign their site. It’s a disaster. He moved their hosting without me knowing. Now the client has come back to me saying they want me to fix everything. Sucuri is saying there is malware in some javascript. Would it be better to use Sucuri to cleanup, then move the cleaned up site back to the original host? Or better to just rebuild the site brand new?

When setting up a new client site. How is staging handled. Do you do this on your own personal computer and if so how do you share with the client. Do you setup under a subdomain – staging.yourhost.com?
