Captions are coming\r\n\r\nUnknown Speaker 0:12 \r\none day\r\n\r\nNathan Ingram 0:21 \r\nall right. That should be working for everybody now. That that can't be possible. So, just we're still going with the three question rules. So we'll take three questions. And if there's time at the end, we'll get to the additional ones. So yes, there are plenty of questions from bet stacked up here. There are only 10 questions in the queue right now. If you have a question you would like to ask use the link in the chat\r\n\r\nThis always has good questions. Oh, shots fired. Alright folks, three minutes to go. Let me hear from you the chat. What have you been working on this week? We'll get started about three minutes after as usual\r\n\r\nPhoebe, yesterday's event was grueling. I gotta be honest. Yeah. I don't know how successful it was. I we definitely demonstrated the process of troubleshooting a plugin. Let's say that rolling is correct. Yeah. Like it was one of those weird things where all the things that I was concerned about might be a problem became a problem. But yeah, so I don't know what else was That was yesterday at all helpful. Was it at all help? Like, it's a pretty low bar. Okay. I'm really glad. That was like, I think I just want to go like it's time to go cut the grass or something because Yeah.\r\n\r\nIf you swear at chat GPT it doesn't help, I promise. Either lying to yourself or typing it. In. It doesn't. It doesn't matter. Maybe it'll make you feel better. Even I've not tried it with the new one. I haven't tried it with the new one. It might swear back. It's smart enough. All right, everybody. Welcome in. We're just about a minute away from getting started. If you have a question you want to ask there's likely space but go ahead and get it in now. Using the link in the chat. Get that question in there are currently 10 questions in the queue, most of them belonging to Beth. Yes. One of those Beth you told me to skip though. Yes, Sue. I did see the left mouse thing out. Oops, that's. There it is. I don't know how useful it'll be. But it's kind of cool. It's alright. It's alright. I'll show that when I get started. The problem is, I don't know what version of chat GPT it's using. Or I'm sure it's using the API. But if it's just using 3.5 I don't like those responses as much. haven't really played with it much. We'll try it. I'm curious. Who Oh, okay, wait, I actually, this is pretty darn cool. Okay, so I didn't realize you could highlight text and then run it. This okay. Yes. All right. I'm definitely gonna play with this and I'll show it here in just a minute. All right. Let's get started. Happy Thursday, everybody. It is office hours here. Solid Academy. I don't know about this. So yeah, I'm getting Yeah, the chat. It's already happening. Welcome to Office Hours. It is Thursday. So you get to ask whatever you want. This is the last office hours. Just remember I'm going to be away the last couple of weeks of this month. And let me just remind everybody that we do have one more office hours this month. But it is next Friday, remember? So I am out for an anniversary trip with my wife the next couple of weeks, but I will be able to fit in an office hours on the 24th so that will be Yeah, we'll be back. Before we actually leave on the cruise but I can fit in this time on next Friday. But there will be no other live streams in the next couple of weeks. So just be aware of that. And yeah, I'll see when I get back. Okay, let's get started with some questions, shall we? First I will just mention if you're just joining us here, some folks were asking about the AI plug in creation event yesterday. And the phrase that I heard the adjective I used was, it was grueling. And I think that is accurate. It was like all the things I was afraid would go wrong would but at least some of the feedback I've gotten is that you got to see a good troubleshooting process. So I really hope that it was useful. Yeah, it was like the balance of do I pre bake everything so it just flows nicely. But it never goes that way in real life, right like you might even get the impression like oh, like if Nathan builds a plugin, it's like just works perfectly and whatever. And you've seen that it totally didn't. Like it was it was yeah, it was it was tough. But at the end of the day, you can get some pretty cool stuff at a chat TPP. Anyway, let's get started. First question up is from Ben Anderson. And I'm actually going to use this opportunity for this thing that Sue pointed out yesterday or some point when was that last week so so I'm using this really sweet. I love it this Logitech lift mouse that you hold like this. It's really comfortable on the wrist took a little bit of getting used to but it's really but it's got 8000 buttons on it. And they just added this thing in the software that lets you actually highlight text and hit the button and look it pops up this thing it grabbed the text or did it grab the text rephrase right here okay. Look at this. Anybody seen so it like grab the highlighted text with a click? Ah, so this is just in the Logitech software that you install. So it is the Logitech options, or the Logitech options Plus app trying to open it now but it's verifying something. Yeah, so in this latest release, it's got this AI it's actually dropped on May the eighth of last week. It has this prompt builder. And you basically like you just assign a button to the prompt builder. LMS was like 50 bucks. I mean, it was It wasn't exorbitant. It was like the cost of a good mouse. And it just it just works right so like here's this thing the text is highlighted. I'm going to hit the button. And I want to summarize this complexity technical. Like summarize the thing I want to write a reply, length, short and concise. Submit it bring it it is using chat TBD. 3.5. So that's a downside. But it's kind of cool just to have this kind of built in. Like for writing email. That's kind of neat. Oh, the link for the mouse Hang on a second.\r\n\r\nWell, you can see all the things I'm looking for right now. My daughter's Keurig. Okay, this is Logitech left, mouse. There's black and white. It's Yes. 60 bucks. Oh, there's pink. Now or I guess rose gold. Whatever. It's a great mouse. So I'll just copy this. Link it's a really ugly amazon link. But it's there in the chat. Pretty cool. Anyway. I really really liked this mouse. Because like, I would notice that my wrist was getting a little weird. In this. It's like it's like a handshake position. And so it's really nice. It took a minute to get used to you but not long, like within an hour, so I was just zipping all over the place with it. So I like it a lot. Okay, anyway, let's go back to the actual question, shall we? Okay, thank you, Sue. That was a nicer link. Okay, anybody else seen this fatal PHP error? It started appearing daily about two weeks ago on most sites and I've used solid security. Brent, its support reproduced it but no fix yet. Does it have to do with some specific functionality as it does not happen? 100% Okay, here we go. A simple exception. Interesting. Okay. Not defined in that data die. Simple pebble pebble I don't know what that's all about.\r\n\r\nWell, let's just see if chat GPT can make some sense out of this. Make sure I'm logged in correctly. Here.\r\n\r\nWe'll use the new four Oh.\r\n\r\nSee what Jack GBT has to say about it.\r\n\r\nLooks like it's part of the telemetry which is the the bit in solid security that's collecting how you use the plugin.\r\n\r\nInteresting Yeah, it looks like it's a coding error.\r\n\r\nSo I would imagine that this bear that this is going to be addressed in the in the next version. of solid security\r\n\r\nI saw I remember seeing something about pimple come across somewhere. So it's likely you're not the only one especially if support can reproduce it. Yeah. So yeah, I am Sir. I'm sure they're going to take a look at this. David's not on with us today. But yeah, make support. Make support aware of it. They are aware about that. They'll they'll take it from there. All right, next up is Beth.\r\n\r\nOkay, all right, Beth. Maybe it's me and my OG memory but I do not believe I installed the plugin forget about shortcode buttons on a new site I just launched you or anyone else. know if this was installed by WordPress or whoo No, that would not WordPress. The only plugin that WordPress plugins plural that WordPress ever automatically installs is a Kismet and Hello Dolly. If you are installing WordPress for the first time I've never even heard of this plugin which doesn't mean anything. So you or somebody but this plugin on the site. Hey Beth, maybe you forgot about the Forgot about shortcode button plugin. I'm so funny. Okay. I don't know. It would not have been automatically installed. No. Does anybody else have access to the site Beth?\r\n\r\nThat'd be the only other thing if it wasn't you then is there any other privileged user? Like you know, it would be editor and editors install plugins. I don't Yeah, I don't think so. I think that have to be an administrator user. Yeah. So if you're the only administrator user Beth then Yeah. Interesting. All right. Next up also Beth. One of these Beth told me to eliminate Is this the clarification question that that you said to eliminate this one. Last week, you said I did not need to set up Cloudflare for Academy. So if I have forms on both turnstyle will work with both sites when employed on the main site? Ah, yes. So what you would do is you would set up a turnstile key, which you probably ought to set up a separate turnstile key for each site. That would be the best practice. It probably wouldn't be a huge deal. If it was the same key to be honest. But best practice set up a different turnstile key for each domain and that would include a subdomain on it. Yep. And it'll be fine. And when you say turnstile, you're talking about you have you are actually integrating Cloudflare turnstyle into the form with a plugin or something right. Fluid forms has a turnstile? Yes. So you would just go and set that up in that same account. You'd be good to go and optimally, you would set up one key for the primary site and the subdomain since they are two separate sites. All right, next up is Ben B. By the way, folks, if you have a question to ask, use the link in the chat. All right, then be your Ben. I don't see Ben Bradley. We will answer Oh, he said he will. Okay. WooCommerce subscriptions and Stripe a site currently has with subscriptions working with stripe and the client has recently asked about moving subscriptions to stripe to remove Remove WooCommerce subscriptions. Okay. Our understanding is that the setup is currently working exactly how it's supposed to. Can you confirm the subscriptions have to go through WooCommerce and there isn't a way to have subscriptions and Stripe still continue using WooCommerce subscription products without using WooCommerce memberships? Okay. All right. So WooCommerce we'll so it's weird the way WooCommerce did these two plugins and the fact that they require both of them is just so in order to get the typical functionality that you would have for in a membership plugin, which is access control, for members only content and subscription management, the purchase and recurrence and account management and all for subscription. Most membership plugins have that included like restrict content Pro has that included WishList Member member press, they all have that in together WooCommerce for whatever reason requires both of those plugins WooCommerce subscriptions is the payment part. And WooCommerce memberships is the access control part so I don't have enough information to answer specifically, but I'll answer this way. If all you need is for the payment to continue, and the customer to have the ability to edit their payment method. Then as I understand it, all you need is with the WooCommerce subscriptions plugin. If on that site you also want that subscription to tie in to access controls for certain content. Then you would also need WooCommerce memberships. Now this would not include like downloadable content that is that comes with a WooCommerce product that's part of core WooCommerce. But if there are pages or a post type or whatever, that paying for this subscription then gives you access to this content. That's what WooCommerce memberships does. Hopefully that makes sense and then if you need more detail then yeah. Melanie is asking are the subscriptions showing in stripe under subscriptions? The one site that we've worked with that has used WooCommerce subscriptions. Yes, it actually does. Set up the memberships in in stripe in the subscriptions piece handles that purchase and setup and also lets the person with the WooCommerce My Account area manage the payment method\r\n\r\nthey see a saying it sounds like they want to not use subscriptions but you stripe and said let me reread the question. subscriptions have to go through WooCommerce and there isn't a way to have subscriptions and Stripe and still continue. Okay. Yeah. So Ben, thank you for that that nudge Stacy. So if the work that WooCommerce subscriptions plugin is doing is giving people an Easy Web UI to purchase a subscription and set up that recurrence. And then also to manage the payment method later. If you want to just manually set up the subscriptions and Stripe and whatever, then I don't think you need the WooCommerce subscriptions anymore. But if you want the customers to be able to do that. That's the job. That the subscriptions plugin does. I think was that clear everybody? All right. Next one is Beth. All right, another office hours more Cloudflare questions but of course WAF rules manage challenge on certain pages like login in my account. My client has several freebie downloads as well as an intake form. When people book a call, should I apply the rule above to those pages? I mean, okay, so functionally, it doesn't matter. What Yeah, I mean, the pages are going to continue to work no matter what the should I question is tricky, because whenever you pass through a managed challenge, then most people are going to get that little two to five second interstitial screen cloud flares, checking your blah blah, blah, and then go on to the thing. Is that going to freak the users of the website out that they just want to go download a freebie it might, right? It might make people not want to pass through that to book a call it really you just have to make a judgment call on that. You can, what I would do is share your show the client what it looks like and ask them you know, this will help prevent scraping of those freebie downloads. It will help prevent, you know random garbage coming through your book form. Do you think that will be a problem for the typical person who's going to pass through that makes sense? I would let the client decide. Technically there's really no difference but they're gonna see that two to 567 second interstitial screen. That is the Manage challenge. Okey dokey. Next up. Also Ben be another Cloudflare question. Hey, all right. Cloudflare introduced the first we'll try that again, introduced the first three WAF rules by saying that from the Cloudflare premium course to a site that was getting a load of bought signups. The redirect after signup is buffering, buffering, and not redirecting to bla bla bla bla bla, do I need to add a new query string to rule the second good traffic rule\r\n\r\nthen I need to know more detail about what's happening happening. I imagine when you say buffering, you mean it's just sitting there spinning and it's not going on?\r\n\r\nYou can do this. But that means that no traffic to that page is going to be filtered. The question is what is happening? There's a signup form that isn't passing to the net. Okay. So what I would do first been is I would try not caching whatever page the signup form is on I would add a page rule that disables caching and performance on that page. Because I think that you're getting some weirdness there with the form submission so that it's not redirecting properly. So I would try turning off all optimizations and caching and performance on that page. You would do that like this. You can do a live webinar on Cloudflare on May 23. By the way to just see the Cloudflare is now deprecated minification because they change everything 1000 times so that's now not going to be a thing anymore. Okay, so then what we would, we would actually let me get to the right websites. If they changed. Now I'm in the wrong area. I need to go to there. Okay, here we go. Security. Now, access. Let's do rules and to create a rule. This is don't don't cash signup page. So when the U R I path contains my path, whatever that is this is where the signup form, my whatever that signup form is or maybe you even put the exact URL there. Then I want to get it out of that\r\n\r\nnotice that this is all now completely different. Okay, I'm in the wrong area. Anyway, I need to go to page rules. Page rules. So the URL would be domain.com or my case, slash my path, whatever right? Then I want to do what I want to cache level bypass. I want to oops, and disable performance like that. And let that page roll turn off all the I think that's what might be getting in your way. Try that been and if that doesn't work. I'm back. Oh Kido dokey. No plenty of time for questions, folks. Next up is Beth. At Cloudflare skip rule web hooks back in the day. You connected stripe to memberpress via a web hook setting. Now it is 100% Automatic by clicking a few buttons. So it's possible to find out the web hook name without calling memberships. So is it possible to find out the webhook name. Probably you can go into your stripe and look at it. Because there's going to be a web hook. Let me get logged into a demo account and stripe. One moment please\r\n\r\nyeah, it should show up in stripe. Take a second here. webinar demo. Here it is. Let you be seeing my client information here. Okay, so Beth, you would go to developers, web hooks, and you'll see your endpoints listed here. Almost always. The web hook is going to have stripe in it, which is why I suggested in this WAF rule for good traffic that you have the these are actually listed separately. You could say the query string just contains stripe and that's going to catch most of the stripe web hooks just like that. But you can get the actual ones from here under developers. Probably. Okay, next up is Karen, Karen.\r\n\r\nAll right. We're doing a redesign for a client who currently has a Squarespace site. And they want the portfolio to look and function just like it does. Now. It's Squarespace default portfolio where you just upload a ton of photos one at a time and they fall into place. It's basic enough let's take a look.\r\n\r\nOkay, so this is this is the portfolio that's basically like a gallery that just drops in. Well, that's pretty beautiful pictures. Okay. So this is like a WordPress gallery basically. Okay, portfolios single with pop up, which is this I guess. Okay. The new design is here\r\n\r\nUnknown Speaker 30:31 \r\noh my\r\n\r\nNathan Ingram 30:38 \r\nOkay. These are all Photoshop files, which I really don't want to try to download and open. What happens if we do a No? No. Okay. So basically, yeah. All right. So basically, how do you get this kind of a thing in WordPress, I would use the block editor. gallery or the Kadence that Oh, with a pop up? Yeah. So with a light box that has navigation. Yeah. So this is the standard WordPress gallery. We'll do this. Let's just go into a post\r\n\r\nKadence has an advanced gallery also or even even the standard WordPress gallery is going to work. I'm just going to grab a bunch of pictures. Insert the gallery and it it'll make it like you want it you can change the styling over here. The various things and the link settings are too\r\n\r\nUnknown Speaker 32:08 \r\nmedia file light box\r\n\r\nNathan Ingram 32:21 \r\nget that back. Use something like the grid to update your post. So there's our gallery you click it and there it is. It's essentially the same functionality you want to style you can style all these elements make the background white if you want, but the functionality is, is there. That's the Kadence gallery and if I believe the WordPress Core gallery works basically the same vertical images so some Oh, that's a good question. Let's see. Yeah, there's some. There's some stuff in here. See, what do we have a really ugly one. Hey, there's a vertical right there. So let's put the let's put these kind of its maximum around that.\r\n\r\nYep, so it's going to crop them this way. Are you wanting them to sort of fall in line? If so that's where we would use masonry instead. And Masonry is going to fit things a little better\r\n\r\nUnknown Speaker 34:03 \r\nlike so\r\n\r\nUnknown Speaker 34:10 \r\nthat work\r\n\r\nNathan Ingram 34:16 \r\nright. So, again, that was the Kadence gallery. But I'm pretty sure the let's just look at the core gallery.\r\n\r\ndoesn't have nearly be settings actually. Yeah. Not as not as good but that the gallery. I believe that gallery is in the free Kadence blocks here and also Yeah, the core gallery is not nearly as great. As you can see. Hopefully that gives you a way to go. The UI is really nice. It works well. Yes. Okay. This is Kadence blocks, which is separate from the theme as long as you're as long as you're using the block editor. Yeah, the Kadence Kadence blocks will work.\r\n\r\nAdvanced gallery is in the free version. Yep. And there's the link. Give that a try. All righty. It's nice to have a live stream where I can actually solve problems Unlike yesterday. Hey, y'all, we're down to two questions. And it's just now 35 After so, Paul is next. All right, Paul. I have a trilingual sight English Spanish and Portuguese Beaver Builder site using WP ml fun. I just added a row with three columns to show three brochures, images and links to PDFs. One in each language. The text on the page was translated. The PDFs have been uploaded the English original page shows fine however, the images are shown vertically instead of horizontally on the translated page. Well, awesome I'm not going to be much help here.\r\n\r\nUnknown Speaker 37:05 \r\nInteresting\r\n\r\nUnknown Speaker 37:12 \r\ninteresting.\r\n\r\nNathan Ingram 37:25 \r\nHow is this are these she said this is Beaver Builder. Wow. And it's a beaver builder column\r\n\r\nI have never used the PML and beaver builder together and I'm not sure I Yeah.\r\n\r\nI don't know why that would happen.\r\n\r\nAnybody have any ideas for Paul? I don't know what to tell you Paul. That is weird. Paul, are you in the Beaver Builder slack group?\r\n\r\nAt Yeah, so this is the sort of thing I would post in there and you'll probably get almost immediate feedback. Like within an hour of some ideas. i It's pretty good group. I definitely do silence notifications there. But yeah, I yeah, I I don't I wouldn't even know where to start here. Anybody else have ideas for Paul?\r\n\r\nAll right, y'all. This is the last question. What are we going to do and play solitaire for the next 20 minutes? I guess. Math is up. All right, Beth. In the Cloudflare course, you mentioned XML RPC and you don't use it so it's blocked. I read up on this and the article recommended that it'd be disabled for security reasons. Is that what this is essentially doing? Or is there some other disabling method we should also employ so I do this in two places bath. It's a great question. Yet another thing that I probably could have elaborated on in the course. So at the site level, I want XML or XML RPC disabled. And you do that here in solid security. I will disable it. And the REST API we want restricted access. I think we had that turned on for some plugin that required it on this site. Alright, so I will have it disabled here. That means WordPress doesn't recognize it doesn't recognize now, I would also do it in Cloudflare like I showed you because I don't want that traffic even coming to the server. You know, it's not going to do anything once it hits the server. But XML RPC is one of the areas that is frequently attacked just by a bot attack. So you can turn it off in solid security so that it doesn't work at all on the server. But I don't even want the server to have to report back hey, this isn't available, right? I want to filter that traffic out at the network level with Cloudflare to the server doesn't even have to respond to it. Right? I would do it in both places. It's again, it's that multi tiered security approach that I talked about LockDown WordPress, but also just filter that traffic out at the network level. That makes sense.\r\n\r\nCool up more questions. More questions? Then is up next. All right, Mr. Anderson, I thought I'd change to using the lightbox feature, or an old Kadence gallery I have on a site, but I just see this in place of the block setting. This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed. I've had that happen to bed. And a lot of times you can click it and do recover block or block recovery or whatever. If not, he's had to rebuild it. It's something has happened weird. A lot of times that happens when maybe you go in if you happen to have gone into the code view and maybe one of the little exclamation points or something around the block gotten messed up. That could cause this. But yeah, it's just not able to render. Sometimes also that happens if the block plugin that was used to create the block is no longer present on the site. Usually it's a different error though, like this block is not available, that sort of thing. The Bend Do you have the ability to try to restore the block or what's the word I'm looking for?\r\n\r\nYeah, so if that if the block restoration isn't an option, then just recreate it\r\n\r\nYeah, it should. Sometimes they can get corrupted if some of the code that is actually in the text only view could be an old version of the blog. But Kadence is pretty good about maintaining backwards compatibility, when you know as they've improved it over the years. That's pretty weird. All right. Now we're back to our last question. Do you know anybody play you know? Hey, Beth, can you clarify which settings and Cloudflare will stop Contact Form spam? Is it turnstile or the WAF rules. I set up turnstyle for my site, and only two of my clients and we're still getting form spam. Okay. So there are three different aspects of this question. I will start with the first which is what do you mean by form spam is it because they're because the the the spam protections on forms have gotten so good? Oftentimes what we are now seeing as spam is actually a human who is just filling these things out, and they're paid to fill out hundreds of these things every hour, and you're not ever going to stop that. So, you know, is this something that's coming in? Like? Yeah, that's yeah, so if they're coming in onesies, twosies. That's likely some human beings sitting in a room somewhere with a bunch of others doing this awful job of just fill and submit, fill and submit paste and submit. And yeah, there's no, it's not spam, because it's not automated. So you see the pace marks? Exactly. That's what's happening. There's nothing that's really going to stop that. Now, the rest of your question is technical. So how does Cloudflare work with form spam? So at the top level filtering out, garbage traffic is going to help anyway. And you could put a CAPTCHA No, sorry. You could put a manage challenge in front of your contact page, but I wouldn't do that turn so turnstile is managed challenge. Okay. So in a WAF rule when you present a managed challenge, that is the same for lack of better term software in Cloudflare. That's deciding whether that traffic is good or not. Okay, turnstile. is just the widget form that can be used on login forms, form forums, that sort of thing. turnstile is the widget form of the Manage challenge at Cloudflare. Does that make sense? So, for a form, if you're not if you're if you're using what should you say a form formidable? No. Which one are you using which form fluid forms, okay, so they have a turnstile built in that's going to give you the thing and that's what so that's just what I would use. If you're using Gravity Forms, then you can use Gravity Forms zero spam, which just blocks everything. It's just I don't know what kind of ninja magic they have going on behind the scenes there, but it just works. We've completely moved away from clean talk for all of our sites, because of Gravity Forms zero spam we just don't need it. Yeah, Melanie, suggesting you know, the WAF rule that blocks traffic from all countries other than those are not blocks but puts a challenge in front of any country that is outside your normal user base just by geography Yeah, that's always a good thing. No matter what. Karen says Gravity Forms zero spam hasn't worked for us. So Karen, are you actually getting form spam? Or is it the human being spam because there nothing's going to stop that. But it does stop all the garbage. You know, clearly automated spam. We just don't have any of that at all. Yeah, Stacy, exactly. You can bypass the geographical checks with a VPN. It still doesn't hurt to have that firewall rule out there. Matter of fact, we when we put our first router vault at version one firewall rules, and I've got a friend with a nonprofit here locally that loves analytics. And he said then why did our traffic drop all of a sudden it's because we filtered out all the garbage it was a lot of garbage. Am I getting real people spam? Absolutely why? But like maybe four or five a week. It's not it's manageable. You know, I just ignore whatever it that you can't stop that with any tool that I'm aware of currently, because it is a human being that can bypass hatches, etc. to do their thing. Well for or well, so. I'm not watching client sites. We don't Chris do we hear from clients that they're getting garbage? form submissions? I don't think we do really\r\n\r\nChris here, just went back to work it for him. Chris is dealing with liquor studio and trying to make some things with REG edit that is about to drive him nuts. I don't think we hear from it. If hear from clients about that. How do you explain to clients about this? I think it's relatively simple. I would explain to the client that we have tools in place that filter out automated form submissions, like you know where you would be getting 50 a day. You might get four or five a week now. But that's the it's not automated. It's a human being and you can't stop that. It's like you can't stop a person from emailing you like they're in a Gmail account, emailing and how do you you can't stop that. If at least yet. Maybe somebody will develop a tool that's smart enough with AI but then somebody will out AI their AI and the you know the race continues\r\n\r\nwell, melody that's interesting. That's a whole other discussion right there\r\n\r\nin your have spam prayer requests, the theological question anyway, ah, somewhere we got off track on this all right. Yeah. Wow, that's interesting. Sounds like Yeah. So Eddie is also getting the human spam. Yeah, it's I mean the only thing so I mean, if you wanted, the only thing I can think of that would even come close to to dealing with this is if let's say if we were to solve this problem with gravity forms, and if we were getting the same sort of submission about like, there was a common key word or something in there. Then you could set up a conditional like let the forum submit an entry, but then only send the notification. If this phrase wasn't in the, you know, submission. You could do that. But it's, yeah, it. They are identical. But there's really no way that I'm aware I have to stop this what do they get out of form spam, they're playing a numbers game, if they submit a foul, you know, if they're, if their success rate is point zero 1%. Then for every 1000 sites, or whatever it is, I can't do math very well. They're gonna get one customer, right. So is it you know, what does it cost me to do this versus what does one customer get? It's a numbers game. And yeah. Yeah, we quit clean talk was fine for us. We just felt we we found that it was getting in the way of legitimate traffic. The problems that it caused blocking legitimate traffic was not as good as the protection it was providing Plus, when we went to CloudFlare, and Gravity Forms zero spam. We just didn't need it anymore. It's fine. I mean, there's nothing wrong with it. Other than you got to be clean talk can be very heavy handed on legitimate traffic. All right. Let's see any other questions pop in here. One more from Ben.\r\n\r\nBen, then if you have no Google Analytics pixels or other tracking you don't really need a full consent solution right? If you're within the the EU. So insert disclaimer here. I am not a lawyer or a privacy blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, right. We understand that. If you're not tracking third party information, you don't need disclosure saying you're not tracking third party information. Ideally, what I would say maybe you would have a privacy link that says we don't track anything. That's all it says or whatever. I don't. I don't know that you'd need a consent solution that there's nothing to consent to. You're not you don't need consent because you're not you don't have anything for consent. Yeah. Oh, hey, y'all. Did you see the live stream that I just scheduled? That actually get it up there? Am I losing my mind? All these things are possible. Hang on a minute, June the ah, it is here. Okay. So how many of you are aware of this? Google it and other browsers are going to put an end to third party cookies. So third party cookies. are going away next year? Yep. So I've got David Zimmerman coming to talk to us in about a month on June the 19th. This is let me drop the link in the chat. This is the the term for this is called the privacy sandbox. You can Google that and learn about it. Google was gonna do this this year, but they've pushed the date back to next year. So this is coming up on June the 19th. Make sure you register for this one. David's always good. And he's got some things to talk about this and you know, what do we do? What are the implications? What's this all about? What do we as agency owners need to know now about the cookie pocalypse? Or the web without cookies or cookie Gedan or whatever you want to call it? The no care and what does it mean? Hey, you should come into the webinar. What it means is web browsers, there just won't be cookies. websites will not be able to set cookies through the browsers anymore. So all those track Yeah, exactly. It's a big deal. And it's a step in in privacy. So Firefox I think you'll or they're rolling that out. Chrome has a setting for it. Yeah, so all this is coming. Doesn't we'll use cookies. I don't know. That's what I got. I'm not up to speed on this. So I've got to think I got a lot to learn also. Oh, Ben. Okay. Thank you. That's a good clarification. Ben. First party cookies are not out meaning my site puts a cookie but other sites like can your site read the Facebook cookie on my site? Or pixel Facebook pixel, same thing, right? So that's where it this is the site to site tracking. So the unless they figure out another way around it which Google I'm sure will, on some privacy solution around this. You know, these days have I looked at this product on Amazon and now it's all over every ad on every site forever. That those are third party cookies that are tracking that. So shoes won't follow you around. And that's the way I understand it. But look, ad revenue is what keeps the lights on at Google. And so they're gonna find a way around this. I just don't know what it is. Then it'll be interesting. Yeah. Oh, interesting. So Stacy is saying that google recaptcha gets broken by third party cookies if you turn that off, which makes sense. It's a third party service used on a site. So these are all the things that David's going to be talking about. But in the meantime, if you want to learn more about it, just Google Privacy sandbox, that's the technical term for this whole thing. And you can learn more about it. But that's a big deal. And it's coming to a web near you in 2025. At some point Yeah. All right, y'all, I don't see any more questions that have come in. Rock paper scissors. Did you see Did you see the open AI video about chat GPT the app watching people pay play rock, paper, scissors and seeing who won? Holy cow. absolutely unbelievable. And quite something. Yes. So that's actually out there like the it is so natural to interface with chat GPT on the app, and in talking. Also, I'm waiting for the Mac App. I still don't have access to the Mac App of chat. TPT Chris does somehow knucklehead got access before me? But I don't Yeah, I still don't have access to the Mac. App. It'll show up in your browser. So yeah, that's supposed to be cool because it will do voice. I think that's going to be game changing for me. Alright, y'all, that's gonna wrap us up for today.
