Enable SMS Authentication in the Nexcess Portal
Protect your Nexcess account with SMS 2FA. Our guide shows you how to enable text message codes for secure and fast two-factor authentication.
Introduction
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is the most secure way to protect your Nexcess account. Instead of relying solely on a password, 2FA requires two factors for access: your password, plus a unique code sent instantly to your registered phone number via text message (SMS). This setup effectively blocks unauthorized access because a hacker would need both your password and your physical phone.
Prerequisites
- A Nexcess account.
- A valid cell phone number.
