TechEd North America 2014: A Cloud Sites Review

Cloud Sites by Rackspace was proudly represented by Jimmy Rudley and a team of Rackers this past week at the Microsoft TechEd North America 2014, a prominent conference bringing together the leaders in the world of technology. Our Rackers awakened the grounds of Tech Ed with the Rackspace kiosk front and center. “Rackspace had a booth, which was really successful in terms of getting brand recognition,” explains Rudley. As hundreds of brilliant tech minds swarmed the conference, an abundance found their way to the Rackspace stand to learn more about the leader in managed hosting and our one and only Fanatical Support®.

Rudley noted that, “ a lot of attendees visiting our booth were really interested in our Cloud vs. Azure and on how our Cloud stands out. We made it clear that we are a managed Cloud offering, not unmanaged like Azure and AWS”.  A major goal in attending such a prominent conference was to get the word out about Cloud Sites by Rackspace, not only to present and future customers, but also to the technology industry. Cloud Sites by Rackspace is a force to be reckoned with.  As Rudley informed the TechEd audience, “We are more than just a host, but a host that is here to help you focus on what’s important, and that is your code, not the infrastructure.”While gaining recognition and potential customer leads for Cloud Sites was on our task list for attending TechEd, it was a priority to also continue our education in order to better our offerings for our customers. The Cloud Sites team attended multiple Cloud On-Premise sessions to expand on the possibilities of building a better platform to benefit our customers. Post conference, Cloud Sites Windows Engineers will be exploring expanding our Windows-based sites offering.

In true Rackspace fashion, our team had the honor of closing out this spectacular conference by hosting the event ending party. Your Cloud Sites team looks forward to continuing our education and creating an even better team for you, our customers. Until next year, TechEd!
