The next era for software: one suite, four powerhouse WordPress tools
Liquid Web by Nexcess is concentrating its diverse WordPress software portfolio into four core products, all designed to make it simpler to build, run, and grow your professional WordPress site:
- Kadence (website builder + security)
The complete website platform. Build, design, and secure professional WordPress sites with all-in-one tooling: page builder, themes, site security, automated backups, WooCommerce tools, membership management, and content restriction. - LearnDash (e-learning)
Create and deliver courses, build communities, manage memberships, track student progress, and leverage AI-powered course building. - The Events Calendar (event management)
Manage events, sell tickets, handle registrations, coordinate seating, send email campaigns, and schedule everything. - Give (fundraising)
Create donation forms, manage donors, process payments across multiple gateways, enable recurring giving, and track campaign performance.
Instead of navigating separate websites, checkouts, portals, and experiences, customers can now purchase any combination of these software tools directly on the Liquid Web by Nexcess site—with unified access on a single portal.
What about the other products?
SolidWP, Iconic, Restrict Content Pro, and MemberDash are no longer being sold as standalone products. Their features are now incorporated into either the new Kadence or LearnDash.
Here’s where the features from each brand now live:
- SolidWP → Kadence Security (built into Kadence)
- Iconic → Kadence Shop Kit (built into Kadence)
- Restrict Content Pro → Kadence Memberships (built into Kadence)
- MemberDash → LearnDash (built into LearnDash)
For existing customers, you keep your current features—though you might see them in your portal as part of the new products above.
Switching is optionalYour current plan, pricing, and tools remain the same unless you choose to upgrade. This is a new option for customers who want more, not a forced migration.
Why make the change?
A concentrated products catalog and a focused team
We’ve been lucky enough to grow into a wide range of products over the years. Moving forward, we want to channel that growth into four core products. This tighter focus means we can deliver faster, deeper innovation on the tools you actually use, rather than spreading our attention thin across a much larger catalog.
Backed by 25+ years of expertise.
By reorganizing ourselves directly under Nexcess, our customers get even more infrastructure, resources, and institutional knowledge. That means faster updates, better security, continued investment, and industry-leading stability for our products moving forward.
One license, one portal, one experience
Everything now lives in one place. No more juggling separate add-ons across different checkouts, keeping track of mismatched renewal dates, or remembering which login goes with which product. Now it’s one license and one portal for everything you own.
Self-hosted flexibility stays the same
All of this remains self-hosted software that runs on your hosting, on any hosting provider you choose. Nothing about your hosting setup changes.
All-in-one products with feature-focused plans
Previously, customers bought a base plan and then purchased separate add-ons to get the functionality they actually needed. That meant multiple license keys, different renewal dates, and extra steps at checkout.
Under the new plans, each tier includes a set of tools. You pick the tier that matches your needs, and everything at that level is yours. No need to pull together add-ons separately. Now, everything you need is right there, under one license.
What this means for you
This has been a long time in the making, and we’re glad to finally share it with you. The most important thing to know is that switching to one of the new plans is completely optional. You can stay on your current plan and keep the features you have today.
Below, you’ll find details on how to access your new customer portal, what’s changing for each brand, and answers to the most common questions.
Switching to a new plan vs. keeping your current one
Upgrading to one of the new software plans under Nexcess is completely optional.
If you choose to stay on your current plan:
- Your pricing, renewal process, plans, and tools stay the same.
- Your existing license keys remain valid. No new keys are required.
- Your current license is still valid, and your pricing stays the same as long as your subscription remains active. If your subscription lapses, you’ll need to purchase one of the new software plans to reinstate access (make sure you pick one that has the same features you’d like to reinstate).
- If you have multiple products, you can now find their license keys, payments, and more in your new portal.
If you move to a new plan under Nexcess:
- A credit for unused time on your current plan is available.
- You can upgrade to a new plan directly in your new customer portal. Upgrading through the portal will automatically apply a credit for the unused portion of your current plan.
- Questions? Contact us in the portal.
We’re continuing to invest in your current planWe’ll continue dedicating resources and teams to improving the features you rely on—whether you upgrade or stay put. Your choice to stay on your current plan doesn’t mean you’re on a frozen, legacy product. Note: A small handful of older tools are being retired (details are provided in each product section below). Critical security patches for those continue through April 2027.
Account, licensing, and portal
Your existing license keys are still valid (and they won’t change) — you can find them in your new software portal. All of your account data has been migrated over automatically. If you have license keys across multiple products, you can now find all of them in the same portal.
Accessing your new unified portal
All customers (regardless of product) access the same portal at software.liquidweb.com.
How to log in for the first time
- Go to software.liquidweb.com
- Check your email for a password reset link (auto-sent to your account email)
- Log in with your new credentials
- Add a payment method (this cancels your old payment method automatically)
If you haven’t received a password reset email
- Go to software.liquidweb.com (or your old portal link—it redirects automatically)
- On the login page, select “Request a new password.”
- A link to create a new password will be emailed to you
- Click the link, create your password, and log in
What you’ll find in your new portal
- View all your licenses: All your product keys, expiration dates, and renewal dates in one dashboard
- Manage billing: Update payment methods, view invoices, and see renewal history across all products
- Submit support tickets: One support channel for all your products
- Update account settings: Email, address, password—once, across all products
- See all your products: If you have any combination of our products, you see everything in one place
Switching to a new software product in your portal
You can upgrade from your current plan to a new Kadence, LearnDash, The Events Calendar, or Give plan (optional). A credit for unused time on your current plan is automatically applied.
Old portal links
Old portal links (my.solidwp.com, my.iconicwp.com, etc.) redirect automatically to the new portal. No bookmarks need updating.
Questions? A list of helpful FAQs is located below. You can also contact our teams by submitting a ticket in your new portal.
Kadence
What’s new
Moving forward, the following features can now be found in the new Kadence by Nexcess.
A note for current customers: If you’re an existing customer staying on your current plan, your features remain the same. Access to the functionalities below requires upgrading to one of the new Kadence plans.
Security and backups
Site security and automated backups are now built into the new Kadence Security and Kadence Backups. Together, they cover malware scanning, real-time threat detection, and scheduled backup management. All of which are manageable from within your WordPress dashboard.
Performance optimization
Kadence now includes performance optimization tools covering caching, image optimization, and site speed.
Centralized site management
Managing multiple WordPress sites from a single dashboard is now possible within Kadence. For agencies managing client sites, this removes the need for a separate tool entirely.
Membership and content access
Membership management and content restriction tools are now part of the new Kadence Memberships. Whether you’re gating content by subscription tier, managing member access levels, or building a paid community, these tools are now included in the platform (rather than sold separately).
Advanced WooCommerce tools via Kadence Shop Kit
The following tools are part of the new Kadence Shop Kit included in select Kadence plans.
- Product display and variations: Individual variations can be displayed as separate products in search and category results. Image swap effects on shop and catalog pages also pull everything together.
- Product building: Visual product configuration so customers can customize products before purchasing, custom fields for variations, and bundled products with discount options.
- Checkout and delivery: A streamlined, distraction-free checkout experience designed to reduce abandonment, plus customer-facing delivery date and time selection at checkout.
- Marketing and sales: Cross-sell tools to surface relevant products across your store, and wishlist functionality so customers can save products for later.
- Account management: Custom tabs and pages within the WooCommerce My Account area, giving store owners more control over the customer account experience.
You can find the full list of Shop Kit features here.
New plans and tiered pricingThe new Kadence is offered as a single all-in-one product with features spread across three tiers: Essentials, Pro, and Elite. Each unlocks a different set of features, so you can start with what makes sense today and scale from there. Review new plans →Managing multiple sites? Volume discounts are available for 3+ sites.
Retiring features, themes, and more
As Kadence evolves into a more focused platform, we’re retiring a small number of older tools. They will remain active for existing users with no interruption to service, but no further updates or new releases are planned. Critical security patches will continue through April 2027.
- WooCommerce Elementor
- WooCommerce Elementor Pro
- WooCommerce Site Origin Builder
- AMP
- Full Pane Vertical Slider
- Page Transitions
- Slider Pro

- Ascend Theme
- Virtue/Ascend/Pinnacle Toolkit
Current changes only impact the free versions of the above themes/tools. Premium/paid versions will continue to be supported.
LearnDash
What’s new
LearnDash is the same product customers have trusted for years—we’ve just added even more to it. In addition to the features already used to build online learning programs, the following are now part of the new LearnDash by Nexcess.
A note for current customers: If you’re an existing customer staying on your current plan, your features remain the same. Access to the functionality below requires upgrading to one of the new LearnDash plans.
Membership and community management
Membership management tools are now built directly into LearnDash. You can manage member access levels, subscription tiers, and content restriction from within the same platform you use to build and deliver your courses. For educators who previously managed memberships and courses through separate tools, that separation is gone.
Expanded course management tools
A set of course management tools are now included directly in LearnDash. This covers instructor management, student progress tracking, grading, group management, and course feedback and ratings.
AI course building tools
LearnDash includes an AI Quiz Builder and an AI Course Structure Builder, giving educators a faster way to build course content without starting from scratch. This includes an AI bridge that lets tools like Cursor and Elementor’s Angie perform actions in LearnDash via prompts such as creating courses, enrolling users, and grading assignments.

The Events Calendar
What’s new
The Events Calendar has historically been built around individual add-ons—each with its own license key, renewal, and management plan.
That changes with the reimagined TEC, now part of Nexcess.
Moving forward, everything is now combined into a single TEC product with three tiered plans. New customers (and those making the switch) will get one license key, one portal, and one plan that unlocks the functionality they need. Each tier builds on the one before it, adding features as you scale.
Reminder: Existing users keep their plans, their features, and their pricing. We’re changing how our products are packaged and sold moving forward, not how they work for our existing customers.
Retiring features, themes, and more
The following bundles and products are retiring. They’ll remain active for existing users with no interruption to service, but no further updates or new releases are planned. Critical security patches for products will continue through April 2027.
- Complete Collection Bundle
- Event Marketing Bundle
- Events Importer Bundle
- Starter Bundle
- Community Manager Bundle
- Venue Manager Bundle
- Image Widget Plus
Give
What’s new
Give has historically been built around individual add-ons—each with its own license key, renewal, and management plan.
That changes with the reimagined Give, now part of Nexcess.
Moving forward, all features and add-ons are combined into a single Give product with three tiered plans. New customers on the new plans get one license key, one portal, and one plan that unlocks the functionality they need. Each tier builds on the one before it, adding features as you scale.
Reminder: Existing users keep their plans, their features, and their pricing. We’re changing how our products are packaged and sold moving forward, not how they work for our existing customers.
Retiring features, themes, and more
The following features, themes, and plugins are retiring. They will remain active for existing users with no interruption to service, but no further updates or new releases are planned. Critical security patches will continue through April 2027.
- MemberDash integration
SolidWP
What’s new
Today, we’re announcing the next chapter for SolidWP. Its security, backup, and site management tools are now part of Kadence Security, which is found in the new Kadence by Nexcess. Together, they form a platform that covers everything professionals need to build, secure, and run WordPress sites.
Reminder: Existing users keep their plans, their features, and their pricing. We’re changing how our products are packaged and sold moving forward, not how they work for our existing customers.
New customers looking for SolidWP’s security, site management, and backups can find them within Kadence—along with site-building and design tools, WooCommerce features, membership management, and more.
Retiring features, themes, and more
Solid Academy has been discontinued. Its resources can now be found here. If you have questions, your existing support channels are the best place to start.
IconicWP
Today, we’re announcing the next chapter for Iconic: its advanced WooCommerce tools are becoming part of Kadence Shop Kit, the powerful commerce toolkit found in the new Kadence (now part of Nexcess).
Existing users will keep their plans, their features, and their pricing. We’re changing how Iconic is packaged and sold moving forward, not how it works for our existing customers.
From now on, new customers looking for advanced WooCommerce features can find them within Kadence—along with site-building tools, security, backups, memberships, content management, and more.
Upgrading to the new Shop Kit by Kadence (optional)
If you’re staying on your existing Iconic plan, this section doesn’t apply to your account, and your plugins will continue to work exactly as they do today. Critical updates will keep everything running smoothly.
If you choose to upgrade to a new plan under Kadence, your Iconic tools will move into the new Shop Kit by Kadence.
Here’s what that means for each tool:
- Attribute Swatches moves to Shop Kit with the same features you have today. However, because of how this is set up, you will need to recreate your swatches in Shop Kit’s settings.
- Quickview works the same way for your customers, too, just with a slightly different setup process on the backend.
- WooThumbs requires a bit more planning before upgrading—review the note below to understand what carries over and what doesn’t, so you can make the switch without any interruption to your store.
A note on WooThumbs
WooThumbs is one of Iconic’s most-used tools, and we know how important it is to many customers. The core of what WooThumbs does is available in Shop Kit—enhanced product image galleries, multiple images per variation, variation-specific galleries, and more—so for most users, the experience will be very close to what you have today.
What carries over
- Enhanced product image galleries
- Multiple images per variation
- Variation-specific galleries
What doesn’t carry over
Two specific features are not available in Shop Kit and will not be transferred:
- Inline video playing in the gallery
- Global product videos
This is because Shop Kit’s gallery displays media in a full-screen pop-up rather than inline. If your store depends on either of these features, factor this into your planning before making any changes.
Before you upgrade
If you choose to upgrade to Shop Kit, you will need to manually re-add variation and attribute images for each product. A self-serve migration tool for this is planned—we will update this post when it’s available. Until then, our recommendation is to deactivate the Shop Kit gallery feature and continue running WooThumbs until the migration tool is ready.
If you have questions about how to handle this for your store, please reach out via your existing support channels before making any changes.
Restrict Content Pro (RCP)
What’s new
Today, we’re announcing the next chapter for Restrict Content Pro: its membership and content tools are becoming part of Kadence Memberships, the powerful toolkit found in the new Kadence (now part of Nexcess).
Existing users will keep their plans, their features, and their pricing. We’re changing how RCP is packaged and sold moving forward, not how it works for our existing customers.
From now on, new customers looking for advanced membership and content restriction features can find them within Kadence—along with site-building tools, security, backups, memberships, content management, and more.
MemberDash
What’s new
Today, we’re announcing the next chapter for MemberDash: its membership and content restriction tools are becoming part of LearnDash (now part of Nexcess).
Existing users will keep their plans, their features, and their pricing. We’re changing how MemberDash is packaged and sold moving forward, not how it works for our existing customers.
From now on, new customers looking for membership management and content restriction tools can find them within LearnDash—along with AI-powered course creation, student progress tracking, instructor management, and more.
