Today, we celebrate a historic moment in Liquid Web history with the acquisition of Rackspace® Cloud Sites. This is the first of many steps we plan to take on the path to becoming the world’s most-loved hosting company.
We see so much potential in the Cloud Sites platform and the people who have fanatically served its customers over the years. And, we want to build on this and invest in developing innovative solutions on the Cloud Sites platform to better serve these savvy, skilled professionals who are reliant on a highly available and dependable hosting provider. This means only upside for the designers, developers, and digital agencies currently using the Cloud Sites platform as well as future customers.
“We want to build on this [potential] and invest in developing innovative solutions on the Cloud Sites platform to better serve these savvy, skilled professionals …”
You see, we understand the hosting landscape needs to change so it can innovate. It is a disgrace to every web professional and businesses born in the cloud that this industry has been reduced to a price-based game leaving customers underserved and unsupported. We aim to put the human back into hosting. Our people are empowered to do whatever it takes – no matter what the problem, we’ll find a solution. You will never hear from us ‘not our problem.’ Our customers’ problems become ours and we partner together to make it right.
“We aim to put the human back into hosting.”
We see that there is an overall trend in the industry to simplify, customize, and personalize service offerings to better assist our customers. With the addition of Cloud Sites, our portfolio becomes broader and more scalable. We’ve intentionally designed our products so customers can choose their own adventure whether it’s hands on, hands off, or a hybrid of the two. Customers can choose to design their hosting environments, or utilize a Liquid Web Solutions Architect to design it for them. Given the clear shift in how customers want to consume web services, for example the mass adoption of easy-to-use, open-source content management systems like WordPress or commerce platforms like Magento, Liquid Web aims to continually improve the usability and reliability of the systems behind those services.
Today is a great day for Liquid Web and its new addition. And even a greater day for web professionals living, creating and building on the ever-changing web.
