Transferring Ownership of Your Account

If you would like to transfer the control of your Liquid Web account or a specific server on your account to another person, then you need to complete this Transfer of Liability form (TOL). You can also perform a TOL to assume responsibility for another person’s account, such as business partner or a friend.

In order to perform a Transfer of Liability, all of the following requirements must be met:

Current Account Owner

  • You must ensure that the balance on the account you want to transfer is current. You’ll continue to be responsible for account charges until the transfer has been completed.
  • Personal identification must be submitted during the online change of ownership request. Acceptable forms of identification include a driver's license, passport or state-authorized ID.
  • If this is a company account, we will need a letter from the acting officer or legal representative for the company as well as a copy of the articles of incorporation or any other document that confirms your authority within the company/organization.

New Account Owner (person taking over responsibility for the account)

  • Personal identification must be submitted during the online change of ownership request. Acceptable forms of identification include a driver's license, passport or state-authorized ID.
  • You must read and agree to the Liquid Web Policies prior to assuming responsibility of the account.
