Solid Academy is Becoming Stellar Academy

Solid Academy is evolving! We’re actively developing the next chapter and will be making more announcements in the near future. 

Why It Matters

  • The library of on-demand Stellar Academy courses and videos will include premium content from all of StellarWP’s brands—not just SolidWP
  • The community will expand to include individuals who have not yet been exposed to the fantastic content in Solid Academy, including web professionals, site owners, and users associated with other brands in StellarWP
  • The larger audience will allow us to create more value for you — in the form of new, on-demand content as well as livestreams and other events!

For years, Solid Academy (formerly known as iThemes Training) has churned out highly valuable courses and events. These have served a dedicated, fiercely loyal group of web professionals. The time has come for this hidden treasure to be brought to a larger audience, and StellarWP is the perfect context to do just that!

What’s New About the Schedule?

Beginning in April, 2025, we’ve slowed down the pace of events while we work behind the scenes on the all-new Stellar Academy. Some regular events, such as the weekly Office Hours with Nathan Ingram, are pausing for now.

For May & June, 2025, paid Solid Academy members will  have access to:

  • at least 2 new premium livestreams each month, and
  • 1 new premium course.

SolidWP (then known as iThemes) joined the Liquid Web Family of Brands back in 2018. Since then, we’ve gained a number of “siblings” as other top-notch solutions for WordPress have joined the family, including KadenceWP, The Events Calendar, GiveWP, LearnDash, and more. Over time, the software division of Liquid Web formed into StellarWP—a new “parent” brand that allows us all to do more together.

StellarWP is emerging as a powerful presence, releasing branded solutions like StellarPay and StellarSites. And together, we can combine the expertise and talent from across all Stellar and its component brands to create a new Academy and community that’s more valuable than ever before!

Yes. Existing paid subscribers will have access to the main premium tier of Stellar Academy.

Yes! The existing Solid Academy website will continue to operate through the transition. Your membership will allow you access to previous events, recordings, downloadable resources, etc.

As a paid Solid Academy member, you will have early access to the new Stellar Academy website before we open it up to others.

In addition to new exclusive premium courses and events, we’ll also curate and include the best of the premium content from across StellarWP. This will include high value courses and videos from iThemes Training & Solid Academy that you may not have seen or might wish to revisit!

Yes! We’re working with Nathan to finalize plans for his next appearance. We’ll miss the weekly Office Hours sessions and other regular events he’s been hosting, but the plan is for Nathan to be a key contributor to Stellar Academy.

While certain recurring live events are going away, the plan for Stellar Academy involves new ways for you to benefit. These include: 

  • more on-demand video content & courses
  • access to a new Stellar-wide community
  • new members-only perks
  • and more!
