Assigning Certificates to Quizzes and Courses

Once you’ve created a certificate, you can attach it to a quiz so learners are automatically rewarded for high performance.

Steps to Add a Certificate to a Quiz

1. From your WordPress dashboard, go to LearnDash LMS > Quizzes.
2. Select the quiz you want to edit and click Settings.
3. Scroll down to the Quiz Certificate section.
4. From the dropdown, select the certificate you created (e.g., Basic Quiz Certificate).
5. Set the Award Percentage:
   • Example: The quiz passing score may be 80%.
   • To award a certificate only for higher performance, set the threshold at 90% (or your chosen percentage).
6. Click Update to save your settings.

Why This Matters

By linking certificates to quizzes, you can motivate learners to aim higher than the minimum passing score. Certificates serve as both recognition of effort and a tangible proof of achievement.

Tip: Use higher award thresholds (e.g., 90%+) to encourage mastery learning and reward top performers.
