Invoices
Effectively managing and customizing invoices is essential for tracking payments and delivering a professional experience to members. MemberDash provides tools to view, create, and customize invoices directly from the WordPress dashboard, making financial tracking straightforward and adaptable to your business needs.
Viewing Invoices
To access all invoices:
- Go to MemberDash > Billing in the WordPress dashboard.
- Review the list of invoices, which includes:
- Invoice Number
- User
- Membership Status
- Discount
- Total Amount
- Due Date
- Payment Gateway
Additional Options:
- Create a New Invoice: Click the Create Membership button to manually generate an invoice.
- Transaction Logs: View detailed payment records by accessing the transaction logs.
Customizing Invoice Details
Invoice customization ensures that emailed invoices align with branding and legal requirements.
To update invoice settings:
- Go to MemberDash > Settings > Payment.
- Customize the following:
- Preferred Currency
- Invoice Sender’s Name
- Billing Address
- Company Name
- VAT/TAX Number
These details will automatically appear on all invoices sent to members.
Additional Invoice Settings
MemberDash offers advanced control over invoice ID generation through the Additional Invoice Settings module.
How to Enable:
- Go to MemberDash > Modules.
- Toggle on Additional Invoice Settings to unlock additional configuration options.
Invoice ID Formats:
- Combined ID Generation: Use both a custom prefix and progressive numbering for highly structured IDs.
- Basic ID Generation: Sequential numbering by default.
- Progressive ID Generation: Invoice numbers increase continuously, based on the total number of invoices in the system (prevents gaps).
- Custom ID Generation: Apply a custom prefix to each invoice number.
