Nexcess Managed WooCommerce File Management
Manage your WooCommerce store's files. Use SFTP for direct access to themes and plugins, and the WordPress Media Library for your e-shop's media.
Managing the files for your WooCommerce store involves two primary methods, each suited for different tasks. Whether you are a developer uploading a new theme or a store manager adding product images, understanding these methods is key to maintaining your e-shop.
- SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol): This is the method for direct access to your store’s file system. It is used for uploading or editing theme and plugin files, managing WordPress core files, and other developer-level tasks. Our Managed WooCommerce platform does not use a web-based file manager; SFTP is the primary tool for direct access.
- WordPress Media Library: For daily content management, the WordPress dashboard is the standard interface. You use the Media Library to upload and manage all of your store’s media, such as product images, banners, and downloadable digital products.
