Managing the files for your website or application is a fundamental task handled directly through the InterWorx control panel or via a file transfer protocol like SFTP. These tools provide direct access to your account’s file system, allowing you to upload, download, and modify the files and directories that constitute your live site.
Nexcess Flex Plans offer two primary methods for file management:
- InterWorx File Manager: A web-based interface for managing files directly in your browser. It is suitable for most common tasks like uploading individual files, creating directories, and changing file permissions.
- SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol): A protocol for securely transferring files between your local computer and the server. It is recommended for uploading or downloading large numbers of files or for integrating into a development workflow.
