Missing Private Key for SSL in WHM
When renewing third-party SSLs on your Liquid Web server in WHM, the renewed certificate may lack the original private key. You can use the private key from the original certificate stored on the server for the renewed certificate.
If you use third-party SSL’s on your Liquid Web server, you may run into a problem when renewing the SSL from the third-party provider in WHM. Occasionally, the renewed certificate does not include the private key from when the certificate was first issued. The good news is that the original certificate stored on the server will have the same private key as the renewed certificate, so we can find and copy the private key for use with the renewed certificate.
- Open the SSL Storage Manager in WHM (type SSL storage into the search bar at the top left of the screen in WHM).

- Find the SSL that is expiring or has expired and click on the magnifying glass icon under the Key column.

- Copy all of the text from the Raw Text box (including the Begin and End Private Key text).

- You can now paste the Private Key into the appropriate field in the Install an SSL Certificate on a Domain page.
