What is GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a set of laws aimed at enhancing the protection of EU citizens’ personal data and increasing the obligations of organizations to deal with that data in transparent and secure ways. The GDPR applies to EU-based businesses, but also to any business that controls or processes data of EU citizens, as well as those traveling to and from countries in the EU starting May 25th, 2018. Liquid Web is GDPR compliant and has provided a number of resources for our customers related to GDPR compliance and information.
What changes has Liquid Web made for GDPR?
- For Customers that connect to liquidweb.com from an EU IP address, a banner will appear at the bottom of pages informing customers of our cookie policy with a link for them to view the policy.
- Our Privacy Policy has been updated.
- We’ve added a new Policy section in the Account area of my.liquidweb.com, where you can download a signed DPA.
- We have published our list of subprocessors.
- We’ve published a new page listing all of our certifications.
- Liquid Web has created a new FAQ page about GDPR Compliance.
