Job Duties:

  • Provide professional and friendly support consistently via telephone and electronic help desk
  • Troubleshoot and solve a wide range of customer support issues from basic to complex
  • System monitoring and response
  • Operating system and application installation/configuration
  • Performing scheduled maintenance tasks

Skill Requirements:

  • Solid working knowledge of RPM based Linux Distributions

We are seeking a VMWare Expert to build a Private Cloud hosting product that will accommodate hundreds to thousands of customers over in the next year. Liquid Web is seeking a highly skilled individual that has experience taking a complete product to market including: design, testing, implementation and deployment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and deploying highly available custom VMWare solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy high availability VMWare based configurations
  • Work with sales and marketing teams to identify product requirements from customers and prospects
  • Help a team of "Systems Engineers" and "Support Technicians" to support customers using the VMWare based product
  • Develop documentation to help support managed customer configurations

Senior Software Developer

Liquid Web Inc. is looking for an experienced Perl developer with system level development experience or strong system administration knowledge to help develop new hosting products and improve existing ones. Job duties will include working with System Engineers to develop software for products, and integrating them into existing systems, such as Billing, Helpdesk, and Monitoring. The successful candidate will be able to write clean and modular code, communicate effectively with team members as project requirements evolve, and produce software that delivers end results.

  • Assist in the planning, development, testing, debugging, documenting and deploying of our internal software.
    • - Gather requirements and plan for future software development.
    • - Develop structured code that is easy to use, reliable, and maintainable.
    • - Develop testing procedures, and use those procedures for verifying software development.
    • - Help with the software debugging process. (Verifying, recording, patching, communicating).
    • - Provide adequate documentation for other developers and users.
    • - Deploy software in a 24/7 environment with minimal impact.
  • Work primarily on development, but also perform DBA tasks and systems administration duties as needed.
  • Provide support for internal operations.
  • Help develop tools needed to integrate new products into our systems.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Perl, and OO Perl Techniques.
  • Experience developing relational databases.
  • System administration or Systems development with strong Linux/Unix familiarity.
